A Busy Homebody’s Online Jobs

Whoa! It has been almost 2 months since I last visited my personal blog. I said to myself: I’m really sorry for neglecting personal stuff. But these past several weeks had been making my head whirl with so much things to get done – for other people.

Yes, I am still buried under a lot of writing projects. Officially, they are re-writing assignments but I couldn’t force myself to just rephrase and re-shuffle sentences to pass my work as original content. Oftentimes, I have to read and research for the related topics so that I can contribute something new to the articles.

One project lasted for 3 weeks. Omg, those were the most boring weeks of my working life. I was expected to write about topics that I have done before (just this January) for 60 times. I accepted the assignment so I have to do it with all my best. Thankfully, those hairy days – and nights – were all behind me. You might expect that I won’t do that thing again. Nah, I just accepted a similar project this February. The topics are different but still repetitive. So I’ll have more white hairs by mid-May of 2009.

Alright, enough of my rants about my online jobs. It’s not my clients’ problem that I am so meticulous. And please, don’t misinterpret me but I have no angst against my current busy situation. Homebodies are supposed to be busy, aren’t they? At least, I’m busy – and earning extra money to supplement the family income.

I even compounded my busy-ness with helping my eldest daughter do (edit and rewrite) her very first blog. I didn’t have the heart to refuse her because she was so excited about it. So I haven’t slept a wink last night to finish her online project. And you know what? I got infected with her young excitement because I found enough energy to create 2 more hubs in our hubpages’ account! Astounding.

Hopefully, my other 2 kids will also get infected by the blogging fever of my eldest. The looming school’s summer vacation days have officially started yesterday – the first Monday. When the kids are busy with their computers, I wouldn’t have to worry about them getting bored. We’re planning a family beach outing by mid-April but it’ll be only for a day or two.

Oh, last March 6 was my only son’s birthday. He’s a tall and lanky 17-year-old teenager now but his favorite foods are still the same: lasagna and spaghetti. I also baked chocolate cake with cherries and almonds. Three days before the red-letter day, we already have a gallon of ice cream in the freezer and more uncooked pasta ingredients. I never knew what to expect with my son. One minute he’s saying there are guests; then another moment, none. Since we are his official guests – and we’d surely gonna be present, I cooked all the planned dishes on the night of March 5th. Two-and-a-half trays of lasagna, two trays of chocolate cake, three bowls of spaghetti, one small bowl of beef stew with veggies and cheese, and a pot of milky pasta soup for breakfast.

Our birthday gift for him is a new CPU. Just a CPU because the old one is not upgradeable anymore. Yes, you guess it right. We buy second-hand units. They are cheaper and oftentimes as lasting as the brand new ones. The youngest kid will ‘inherit’ the old CPU so we have to buy another LCD monitor, too.

Back to my eldest – I forgotĀ  to mention that she just bought the handycam of her dreams. It’s a Sony and very expensive. To some people, it is moderately priced but we used cash so it’s categorized as a major purchase. We’re still learning how to operate it so the photos we’re using are still ‘borrowed’ from other sites. Hopefully, we’ll be using our own images in a month or two.

So, that’s all about the life of a busy-busy-busy mom and wife for the past 2 months. Hope to be here again very soon. ;-)

Almost forgot – I had to ping all my blogs here.
